Missions
8 missions at London Eye Explorer

Mission 1
The Giant Wheel
The London Eye opened in 2000. Unlike a traditional Ferris wheel with hanging seats, its sealed capsules remain upright as the wheel rotates.

Mission 2
Step Into the Capsule
Each glass capsule is attached outside the rim and rotates to stay level. The slow movement allows passengers to board and gives time to study the city.

Mission 3
Follow the Thames
The Thames supported trade, transportation, defense, industry, and settlement. Many of London's best-known landmarks developed close to its banks.

Mission 4
Spot Big Ben
From the Eye, Westminster's landmarks form one of London's clearest historic skylines. Their position beside the river helped make the area a center of national government.

Mission 5
Bridge by Bridge
London's bridges were built in different eras for different needs. Their materials, shapes, and traffic reveal changes in engineering and city life.

Mission 6
A City of Old and New
London's skyline combines church towers, government buildings, railway stations, office towers, cranes, and residential neighborhoods. The city continues to change around protected historic sites.

Mission 7
The Highest Point
At roughly 135 meters tall, the London Eye offers a broad view across central London. The highest point is ideal for understanding distance, direction, and how landmarks relate to one another.

Mission 8
London From Above
Seeing London from above connects the previous adventures: the Tower, Westminster, museums, bridges, neighborhoods, and the river all belong to one evolving city.
