Mission 1
The White Tower
William the Conqueror ordered the White Tower after 1066 to defend London and demonstrate Norman power. Its thick stone walls made it both a fortress and a royal residence.
Mission 2
The Crown Jewels
The Crown Jewels include crowns, orbs, scepters, and other ceremonial objects used by British monarchs. They are not simply jewelry; each piece represents duties, authority, or tradition.
Mission 3
Meet the Ravens
A popular legend says the kingdom will fall if the ravens ever leave the Tower. Today the birds are cared for by a Ravenmaster, and each raven has its own personality and name.
Mission 4
Traitors' Gate
Traitors' Gate opened from the River Thames into the Tower complex. Important prisoners could be brought by boat, creating a dramatic and intimidating arrival.
Mission 5
The Beefeaters
Yeoman Warders have served at the Tower for more than 500 years. Often called Beefeaters, they guard the site, lead tours, share stories, and help care for its ceremonies and ravens.

The Medieval Fortress
The Tower grew over centuries into a layered fortress. Curtain walls, gates, towers, narrow passages, and elevated walkways made attack difficult and allowed defenders to control movement.
